Job of a Library Executive

 Hi there folks,
I'm new to this community and livejournal and I'm glad there's a library forum over here.
Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you know what's the real job scope of a Library Executive.
I'm keen to apply on this Library Executive and below are the job details.

Key Responsibilities:
> Manage resource acquisitions and cataloguing
> Manage and monitor circulations and usage of library resources
> Administer and process membership related matters
> Maintain and upkeep all library resources such as library catalogues and records
> Produce display and publicity materials for the library

So tell me if this job is similar to a
1) Library Assistant
2) Library Officer
3) Librarian
4) Others ?

Need your help guys. Thanks

To me it sounds more like a processing job combined with a circulation job.

Well I mean, Library Assistant maybe.

I have no idea what a library officer is.

But also, What is a Library Assistant where you are? Here, Library Assistants are Circulation, but in some places they're reference assistants.

No idea what a Library Officer is.

so what do you think ? similar to the 1st library job post I made ?

If "Library Officer" (which is not in my parlance) is a middle-managerial position such as Circulation Manager or Tech Services Manager, that's what this looks like to me.

I held a Manager of Circulation Services position at the paraprofessional level that had most of this in the job description.

Hmm, I've never worked in a library and I'm willing to start slowly but I hope this job is the right one.

A library officer, in Australia, means you're bottom of the rung, no qualifications. It's a good place to start!!!

Theoretically you could be a librarian or a paraprofessional doing these job duties, it would just depend on the institution. Either way it's a managerial role and you would need library experience to handle it.

Went for interview last week. Was told if I'm recommended, will go for 2nd interview.
Days back, the company called my character referees to enquire further about me.
Hmm... I wonder will it be good or bad news.
What do you think folks?
